Lily's Play-N-Stay, our mission goes beyond providing an exceptional experience for your pets. We are deeply committed to making a positive impact in our community. Our Paws 4 Purpose initiative encompasses four main pillars that serve as the cornerstone of our values:

Promoting Pet Healthcare and Happiness

We partner with holistic veterinarians and pet wellness providers to ensure that every pet achieves optimal health and joy in all stages of life.

Activism for All Breeds

We passionately advocate for all dog breeds, aiming to dispel myths and fight against unfair restrictions. Every breed deserves love and a chance at a good life.

Working Actively in Our Community

We believe in giving back, participating in community events, and fostering connections to uplift the neighborhoods we serve.

Supporting Equal Work Opportunities

We prioritize collaborating with businesses that offer equal opportunities to everyone, ensuring inclusivity and diverse representation in our communities.

Bringing Our Vision to Life

The Partnership

Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue (MABBR)

MABBR is a foster home network committed to rescuing pit bull-type dogs in the Midwest. Our partnership aims to dismantle stereotypes surrounding these breeds by providing a nurturing environment and building positive relationships, ultimately enabling these dogs to find secure, affectionate, and fur-ever homes through adoption.

The Program

MABBR Sticker Program at Lily's Play-N-Stay

To bolster our four pillars, we’ve introduced the MABBR Sticker Program. We award stickers to pets and their owners, indicating their pet played with a rescue from MABBR at Lily’s Play-N-Stay. Socializing these dogs accelerates their chances of adoption, making them happier and healthier.

Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue (MABBR) Stories

Cane joined us on June 2, 2023. He was previously at a shelter since November before being returned. Sweet yet selective, after 29 days with us, Dr. Bay’s family fostered him during the July 4th weekend. This temporary stay became permanent, as Cane bonded with Martin, Dr. Bay’s husband. Now, the duo enjoys fishing trips and Cane’s newfound love for catching frogs.

Ruckus lived up to his lively name

This large puppy had boundless energy but no manners. With us from April 16th to June 9th, he went on a brief foster break, returning on August 8th. His foster journey ended happily when he was permanently adopted on August 21 by Lily’s Play-N-Stay trainer Stephanie Scott. Today, Ruckus loves spending time with his young human companion and his new fur siblings.

Henry, much like Xander, has been in shelters most of his life.

With us since July 11th, this energetic boy with a spring in his step is perfect for a one-dog home or an experienced handler. While selective with dogs, he adores humans. Currently, he’s training with a professional to increase his chances of finding his forever home.

Dallas, a dog once found malnourished in the countryside, was nurtured back to health by a kind couple before arriving with us on April 19th.

After 38 days, he found his forever home. Now, he enjoys serene walks with his retired owner who cherishes his company day in, day out.

Xander, previously named Chappy, had a tough start.

Spending most of his life in a noisy kennel, he came to Lily’s on March 9th displaying behavioral issues like being mouthy. But with a bit of training and care, in just 10 days, he found the perfect home. His journey from a life in shelters to a loving household in such a short time is nothing short of a miracle.
